Easter Reflection – He is Risen — and So Will Palestine

He is Risen — and So Will Palestine
Easter Reflection

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Hallelujah! He is Risen!

This Easter, we are reminded that out of suffering comes hope, and through Christ’s resurrection, we are given the promise of new life. Jesus, the merciful servant-leader, laid down His life so that we might live—and in His rising, He gives us strength to rise with Him.

As Palestinian Christians and Muslims, Easter calls us not only to remember—but to act. It is a season of renewed hope, even as our people in the Holy Land face deep suffering under occupation, economic hardship, and fear. We grieve for the pain, but we also hold fast to the joy of the Resurrection, which teaches us that injustice is not the final word.

The Christians of Palestine, living in the land of Jesus’ birth, death, and resurrection, continue to bear witness to their faith amid daily struggles. They are the living Church, the roots of Christianity itself. Their presence, and that of the Muslim community that has helped preserve Christianity through the centuries, is a testament to resilience and unity.

At HCEF, we are committed to building hope alongside them—sharing their story, supporting their communities, and calling on all people of goodwill to stand in solidarity. Let this Easter be a time to renew that commitment.

“Why do you look for the living among the dead?
He is not here; He has risen!” – Luke 24:5–6

Wishing you and your loved ones a Blessed Easter filled with peace, hope, and the light of resurrection.

In faith and solidarity,
Rateb Y. Rabie, KCHS
Holy Land Christian Ecumenical Foundation (HCEF)
